Practice Centers

Putting Greens - Knollwood has two putting greens. The large green in front of the south porch is designated for adults and putting only. A smaller green in front of the terrace is for use by children and also for practice chipping onto a putting surface.

Short Game Center - This area is designed for pitching, chipping, bunker shots and putting. This area has fairway leading into two greens, with bunkers below and above the greens. It has become very popular for those who want to sharpen up their short game. It is located north of the clubhouse, running parallel to the 5th fairway.

A supply of practice balls is furnished at this center. An attendant is on duty from 10 - 5. During off hours, after golfers complete their practice, they should collect the balls and return them to the basket on location.

Also, please rake bunkers, fix ball marks on the green and replace divots.

Driving Range - The range tee box can accommodate 12 golfers. It is 240 yards long and 40 yards wide. Range balls are available at the tee box. Drivers are permitted.

Golf Shop

Bob Miller, PGA, Head Professional at Knollwood, directs the operation of the golf shop. A complete line of golf equipment and attire is available. Golf lessons are available to the public. Please call in advance (914-592-6182). The shop is open Tuesday through Friday, 7:30 am to 6:00 pm. On weekends and holidays the shop is open from 7:00 am to 6:00 pm.

Pool and Tennis

The swimming pool is open from Memorial Day to Labor Day weekend. It is open full time from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm starting the 3rd week of June. The pool is staffed by certified life guards.

The tennis court has an all purpose surface and can also be used for other sports activities.
